Ssekimpi Sharon

Ssekimpi Sharon is a Ugandan social worker enthusiast known for her active involvement in leadership, governance, and community development initiatives. Professionally, Sharon has served as an education and operation staff member in Uganda Tailors Association since September 2020. In this role, she focuses on making tailoring a professionalized economically transformed sector and sustainable stewardship practices in the textile industry. This has been evident under the project undertaken like GROW PROJECT UNDER Refugees Hosting Districts and Uganda Circular Textile Project.
She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Social sciences (BASS) degree from Makerere University achieving a first class degree honors. During her time at Makerere University as indicated in the 73rd Graduation List published in February 2023, Sharon held several leadership positions, as Class representative, Guild Representative Councillor (GRC) for the School of Social sciences during the 87th Guild, and chairperson of the Electoral Commission under Makerere University Political Science Students Association (MUPOSA) in the 2022/23 regime.
Sharon has been actively engaged in advocating for tailors recognition under the concept, she developed as the Fashion Language, particularly for tailors under textile industry in Uganda. She has also worked on campaigns of Christian Family Planning as a youth Christian volunteer under Uganda Protestant Medical Bureau in 2017/2018.
On social media, Sharon identifies as a Christian, Social worker, and holds the position of Chairperson of the Daughters of the King and works as a Sunday school teacher at St. Stephen’s Church of Uganda, Mpererwe Parish.09:49
